When to use these guidelines and application: use to submit any additions or changes to exterior lighting, including landscape lighting fixtures. If landscape lighting is included on a landscape plan that is being submitted, it is not necessary to submit this form separately, but be certain to detail the lighting on the landscape plan. Solar lights may be permitted as landscape lighting.

Lighting and/or light fixtures are part of an overall design plan and shall be appropriate to the architectural style of the home. Even when unlit, lighting fixtures impact a residence with size and form. At night, lighting can create an inviting atmosphere through the level of intensity and strategic placement of the fixtures.

Whether you are planning to install new exterior lights, replace older styles or add to the existing, written approval from the Muirfield Design Control Committee must be obtained prior to installation. The following will help prepare the application. These guidelines are in accordance with the Muirfield Design Standards.
