Ready to start planning your summer activities? 2018 swim and tennis information is online now!
Swimming 2018
We're all ready for summer! Both pools will open Saturday, May 26 at 10:00 a.m. This summer's swim lessons information has been posted along with the 2018 pool hours. We're still hiring life guards, so please let anyone who is qualified know. Remember, all residents age 2 and up need a Muirfield photo ID card to enter the pool facilities, which can be obtained in under 3 minutes at the Association office from 8 - 4 Monday - Friday.
Tennis 2018 Mark your calendars for Meet the Staff Day at the Glick Road tennis courts on Saturday, May 5 from Noon - 2 p.m. Sign up for any Junior Tennis Program or ask questions about any of the Adult Programs offered. Come out to the courts and hit some balls, try out the equipment and see the 10 & under nets, foam balls and racquets for the kids! You may also sign up online any time.
Muirfins Swim Team sign ups are going on now! Be sure to sign up by May 8th to avoid a late fee. May 15th is the FINAL deadline.
The Muirfins Swim Team is the community swim team for families who live in Muirfield Village. Our mission is to get Muirfield kids off the couch or screen they're glued to and outside for some good, healthy summer fun and competition! We accept kids ages 5 - 18 (as long as the child can swim one length of the pool unassisted). There are no try-outs - we will work with all levels of swimmers who can swim 25 yards without assistance. If you are unsure if your child can swim that length without assistance, please email muirfinspresident@gmail.com as we can make arrangements for a swim test prior to signing up.
Each year approximately 135 children/Muirfield Residents are on the team and have fun with their friends while improving their swimming skills. The kids practice Monday - Friday during the season and compete in meets each Wednesday night. Our season runs May 30th - July 17th.
A new parent meeting and existing family swim suit try on date will be held on Monday, April 9th at Eli Pinney Elementary School from 6 - 8 pm. Suit fittings will go on all evening and the new parent meeting will begin at 6:30 and run until 7. Muirfins Board Members will be there to answer any questions.
Sign-ups are online at www.muirfins.com starting April 2. For more information, email Muirfins President Amy Weeks at muirfinspresident@gmail.com.
