Construction impact coming to Glick Rd; Other updates
From a Dublin City Engineer: 1. The damaged storm line near the tunnel at Glick Road and Muirfield Drive is scheduled to be repaired. We expect our contractor to mobilize late this week or next week. The crew will repair the section of the pipe that is damaged, which is approximately 30’. We will do our best to minimize our footprint and damage to the trees. This pipe is roughly 15-20 feet deep so there will be a disturbance to the slope and the shared-use path along Glick Road for access, equipment and materials. The site will be restored to like or better condition. The tunnel will remain open.
Next, we will be replacing the failing railroad tie wall near Glick Road and Davington Drive with a H-pile and timber lagged wall. ... We anticipate work for soil borings to begin April 9. We hope to wrap this work up the third week of May. There will be closures to the shared-use path during this timeframe and possible closures to the WB lane of Glick Road adjacent to the wall. 2. The Country Club at Muirfield Village is once again providing a shredding and recycle day. Mark your calendars for April 28, 9 am to 2 pm. Wrap up your taxes, and bring out of date paperwork for shredding, plus old electronic gear and cords, dead batteries of any size and used clothing. Free, but donations to the TCC Foundation are much appreciated, and go 100% to charity for special needs children.
3. The Country Club at Muirfield Village is supporting TEAM MUIRFIELD VILLAGE in the Pelotonia Bike Ride for Cancer Research. by raising funds to support your biking in the event, by donating or by volunteering. Go to http://pelotonia.org/ for more info. The ride is August 3rd through 5th. You can also have fun and participate in a pre-event: a golf outing for "Team Muirfield Village." This second annual celebrity golf outing will feature notables such as Archie Griffin, Craig Krenzel, William White, Vince Workman and Zach Boren! Woo-HOO, what a list, huh? Save the date, July 9th, at TCC. An informational meeting will be held on Thursday, April 12 at 7 p.m. at The Country Club. Organizers will also be around the club the evening of Wednesday, April 25 , the same night at the Muirfield Association Annual Meeting.
