Annual Assessment Invoice Amounts

Both Franklin and Delaware Counties recently updated property values for nearly all homes in Muirfield Village. As you know, the annual assessment amount is based on each household’s property value.

It has come to our attention that a tentative value instead of a final value was used to calculate some assessment amounts. This is a situation that bothers us greatly and we want to ensure that your invoice reflects the correct amount.

If your invoice reflects an incorrect property value, please contact the office at 614-889-0922 or email billing@muirfieldassociation.org. We will correct your invoice and send an updated copy to you. However, we will be checking all properties for possible errors and will be sending updated invoices when necessary. This is a top priority for our office and we plan to have new invoices generated as soon as possible.

Why did this happen and what steps is the Association taking?

It appears that the list generated that we used for the billing was only the tentative values the county used and not the actual values. This has never happened before. We are currently looking through all of the homes within Muirfield and will be correcting any errors. At this point, new bills will only be sent out to Residents that were billed in error. If there has been an over payment, the resident will be contacted on whether they want to leave it as a credit or have a refund.

We sincerely apologize for this error and are working hard to fix it. Thank you all for your patience.
