Muirfield Association is pleased to pass on this event being sponsored by the City of Dublin and the Dublin Police Department:
Prescription Drug Take-Back
DECEMBER 22: GLICK ROAD POOL PARKING LOT 6716 GLICK RD. DUBLIN, OH 10 A.M. TO 2 P.M
Drug Take-Back Overview
The City of Dublin and Dublin Police are committed to making the community a safe place. Working to end the opiate crisis gripping Central Ohio and the nation remains a top priority, which is why the Take-Back initiative continues. The events provide a free, safe way for community members to rid their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.
What can I drop off at Take-Back Events?
At this time, the service is taking pills, gel-caps and dry medications. We are unable to take liquids, inhalers, or any type of needle, syringe etc. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
Prescription Drug Abuse
Prescription drug abuse is a growing issue across the country.
Approximately eight people each day in Ohio die from prescription drug overdose
The CDC estimates $78.5 billion is spent each year as a result of prescription abuse
Medicines left in homes are highly susceptible to misuse and abuse
National Survey on Drug Use and Health shows a majority of misused and abused prescription drugs are obtained from family and friends
The Empty Nesters celebrated the holidays by holding their annual Christmas Social Wednesday, December 5 at the Muirfield Village Country Club. The decorations, heavy appetizers, music, beverages and socializing were enjoyed by all. Over 50 attended the fourth event of the year.
Regardless if you are new or old to the community and would like to join the group for future events, please send your name and email address to [email protected]. We will add you to the contact list.
Following are some photos from this wonderful event!
