Winter Blahs Getting to You?
Muirfield Village has several social groups you are welcome to join. The Chair of M-SAC, the Muirfield Social Activities Committee, Ray Di Rossi, has compiled the below list for you to consider:
Muirfield Social Activities Committee: This is an official Committee of the Homeowner's Board, a volunteer committee of Muirfield residents tasked with conceiving, planning and hosting a variety of social events throughout the year for Muirfield residents of all ages. This includes the Annual Fishing Derby, Breakfast with Santa, Egg Hunt, a golf chipping contest coming up this year, and more. They are always looking for faces and fresh ideas for new events or improvements to current events. Please contact Ray if you would like to join this Committee to help with planning and to be involved with implementing the many programs. Muirfield Empty Nester Group Charlie McDowell
CHRLSMCDOWELL@BEX.NET 419.250.0630 This overall, umbrella Empty Nester group plans various social gatherings, usually monthly. THis has included home parties, a behind the scenes tour of the OSU Football and Basketball arenas, outings to symphony concerts, plays, a tour of the Governor’s Mansion and more. 614.226.6130 These card and conversation lovers meet the 2nd Friday of every month, in homes. It is for Muirfield couples or singles, and they are always looking for subs. Subs can join as full members as openings appear, or call Jackie if you want to start a new group, to learn how this group operates.
Muirfield Empty Nester Women’s Mahjong group Linda Hupp
La.hupp@gmail.com The women are in need of one player and subs. The group meets on the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm at one of the members' homes. So if someone joins they must be prepared to entertain up to 12 players one evening a year. It is for empty Nester women only, and one must know how to play Mahjong.
Muirfield Empty Nester Women’s 9-hole golf Marcia Bennett
msbennett54@columbus.rr.com 614.766.1985 We play in the morning, 8:30 - 9 am at public courses in central Ohio. We start in the Spring and end in the Fall when the weather begins to get cool. We are currently looking for new members.

614-906-5386 The group of guys with empty nests meets monthly, the 2nd Friday, at 11:45 a.m., and rotates around to different Dublin area restaurants.

The newest social group, designed to encourage socializing among guys who might have full nests but also for tr hose with empty ones, they meet monthly at different Dublin area restaurants at 7:30 a.m.

The group lunches at a different restaurant each month, the 4th Tuesday, at 11:30 a.m.

These women meet the 2nd Monday monthly, March through December, 12:30 pm. Some meetings are held in member’s homes, with a speaker, but others involve outings to places of interest. They maintain the Blue Star Memorial at the Dublin Cemetery, decorate the Historical Coffman House at Christmas and sponsor a family through the Dublin Welcome Warehouse at Christmas.
