The Muirfield Association would like to pass on this important message from the City of Dublin regarding the closure of Muirfield Drive.
Muirfield Drive will be closed this Thursday, December 18 for the installation of two pre-fabricated pedestrian/shared-use path bridges on the new concrete bridge abutments at the North Fork Indian Run.
Muirfield Drive northbound just north of Brand Road
will be closed to all traffic between 8:00 AM and approximately 11:30 AM. A detour will be posted for north bound Muirfield traffic to use Brand Road (traveling west) to Avery Road (traveling north) to Memorial Drive (traveling east).
Muirfield Drive southbound just south of Memorial Drive
will be closed to all traffic between 11:30 AM and approximately 3:00 PM. A detour will be posted for south bound Muirfield traffic to use Memorial Drive (traveling west) to Avery Road (traveling south) to Brand Road (traveling east).
Closure times are approximate and may be extended if necessary.
A large crane will lift each 67-foot long bridge into place. The crane and trucks transporting the bridges will need to occupy both lanes of Muirfield Drive for the installation of each bridge.
Law Enforcement Officers will be present during the Muirfield Drive closure and detour.
The City realizes this is an inconvenience to the traveling public and the contractor will expedite the bridge installation as much as possible. These bridges will be part of and tie into the recently constructed Muirfield Drive bike lanes project.
Please alert any tradespeople and guests coming to your home Thursday, and please forward this message to your Muirfield or Tartan Fields neighbors and friends.
Any questions should be directed to Paul Hammersmith, Dublin City Engineer, at 614-410-4617.
The City of Dublin thanks you for your patience.
