Muirfield Association is pleased to pass on the following message from the Muirfins Swim Team.

The Muirfield swim team, the Muirfins, is hosting a family friendly triathlon.

The triathlon has been rescheduled. The new date is Saturday, July 23 at the Glick Road recreation complex. Come join in the Swim / Bike / Run FUN and support the team! This is the major fundraiser of the season for the team with all proceeds supporting the team.

What is it? A Family Friendly Triathlon. Participants will swim for 15 minutes, bike for 15 minutes and run for 15 minutes. All events are timed and laps are counted in each event.

ANYONE can participate - not a fast swimmer - that’s OK - walk your laps in the pool, wear a life jacket! Not a biker? Use a scooter! - Don’t like to run - walk, jog or crawl your way around the track.

Athletes will:
• Swim for 15 minutes (one swimmer per lane)
• Bike for 15 minutes (kids can use a scooter it they prefer)
• Run for 15 minutes

For who? Any age can participate - this is a family friendly event - if you can’t do all three sports then sign up as a Relay team - each person does one event!

Where: Muirfield’s Glick Rd Recreation Complex, 6716 Glick Rd, Dublin OH 43017

When: New Date! Saturday, July 23 - First wave begins at 7 a.m.

Cost: $45 per individual or $115 for 3 person relay team (June 1-10). Fee includes a Fit with the Fins water bottle and refreshments. 100% of the proceeds from this event benefit the Muirfins Swim team!

How do I win? We’ll count your laps in each event and tally up the winners. Awards given for the top 3 males & females by age group and top 2 teams.

Resident Directory Online

The new resident directory is online! If you have not added your household, why not do it now? You control how much (or how little) information is included. The minimum is the name of a head of household and a Muirfield street address. However, you can also choose to include the name of another head of household, children's names, phone numbers and/or email addresses.

The directory is completely voluntary and no household will automatically be included. The only way to be included is to add a listing online. Alternately, you may print off and return the directory form to the office.

Your neighbors look forward to seeing your listing online!

Mailbox Refurbishment Project

Last fall, Association staff began a mailbox refurbishment program in Muirfield Village. The projected including installing new, metal mailbox numbers to replace the old-style plastic numbers, re-painting the mailbox systems and repairing any damaged or missing components on the mailbox systems. About half of mailboxes in Muirfield were completed last fall. With spring duties completed, the staff is starting the project again.

Approximately one week before the mailbox refurbishment project comes to your neighborhood, the Association will place a notice in your mail slot. Any plantings around the mailbox must be cleared away from the unit. The Association will not be responsible for any damage to landscape materials interfering with the mailbox refurbishing. If you are concerned about your plant materials, you may want to pull them away from the mailbox post once the flyer is received.

While there is no charge for the new numbers and painting, any repairs required will be done and charged to the property owner. Missing caps will be replaced at a cost of $35, a replacement mailbox (with flag) is $40, and other repair costs are dependent on the scope of the repairs needed. An invoice will be mailed once the work is completed.

The Association does not replace mailbox flags. If a replacement flag is needed, residents are welcome to purchase their own standard, red mailbox flag. Decorative or specialty flags are not permitted. Examples of acceptable flags are:

The mailbox refreshment is being done by neighborhood. The whole project will take approximately three years. Timing will depend on many factors, including weather and the necessity of other projects. We cannot predict when staff will get to any given neighborhood.

If your mailbox requires repairs before the project comes to your neighborhood, you may request mailbox repairs any time in the Members Area of the website.

If you have questions, please call the Muirfield Association office at 614-889-0922.

Pickleball at Muirfield

Did you know that Pickleball courts are available in Muirfield? At Glick Road, several tennis courts have markings for Pickleball players… just look for the yellow lines!

Pickleball is a fun game that is played on a badminton sized court with the net lowered to 34 inches at the center. It is played with a perforated plastic baseball (similar to a whiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles. It is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis.

It is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. Ideal for older adults, but fun for all ages!

There is an organized group that meets regularly:
