Electronic Communications Program

Did you know that the Association has saved time, resources and money (over $1,400 in 2014) just by residents agreeing to receive communications electronically?

When a resident agrees to receive communications electronically, all invoices, notices, ballots, and the annual meeting information is sent via email instead of by regular mail. This allows residents to receive correspondence more quickly and "on the go", since many access email on a phone or portable device.

Please be aware that just because you are receiving these emails does not mean you are necessarily in the electronic communications program. The eNews list is only used to send our electronic newsletter plus community announcements whereas the electronic communications program permits residents to receive official communications from the Association.

Residents must specifically sign up for the electronic communications program. If you have not already done so, please consider adding your household to the program. It's easy! Read more or sign up.

Annual Assessment Reminder

Payment of the annual assessment was due March 7. If you have not paid your invoice, please do so soon. Invoices must be paid no later than March 24, 2016 to avoid interest being added to the total.

As a reminder, the Association accepts cash, checks, money orders, and payments made through your bank's bill pay program. There are no additional fees from the Association to use any of these methods. An after-hours drop box is located by the office front door.

Firewood For Sale

The Association has cut and split firewood for sale, ready to be delivered!

If you'd like wood, please reply to this email with your name, address, a good contact phone number, and whether you'd prefer a half cord ($100) or full cord ($190). Wood will arrive cut and split. Cost includes delivery and stacking in an appropriate location on your property.

Orders can also be placed by calling the office at 614-889-0922 or in the Members Area.

2016 Muirfins

Muirfield Association is pleased to pass on the following message from the Muirfins:

Ready for a fun summer of swimming? Why not join the Muirfins swim team this summer! Muirfins is a summer recreational swim team established in 1980 for Muirfield Village residents ages 5 -18. Swimmers of all levels are welcome with 1 condition: swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool (25m) without stopping, touching the bottom of the pool or hanging on to a lane line or the side wall.

The Muirfins are part of the N.E.W. League along with teams from the City of Dublin, Marysville and Northland. An organizational meeting will be held at Grizzell Middle School on Monday, April 4th from 6-8pm. Come learn all of the information about practices (which begin Tuesday, May 31), meets (our first one is June 8th – home) and anything else you might need to know about joining the team!

Not only is Muirfins a great way to keep kids active during the summer, it is a wonderful way to meet neighbors and other swim team parents. There are lots of opportunities to volunteer to help out the team and fun social events for the whole family.

You can sign-up at our website (https://muirfins.swimtopia.com/) and get additional information about the team. Or drop by our Facebook page and post questions and we’ll be happy to answer them. Sign-ups begin on April 1 – we look forward to seeing you at the pool this summer!

Water Line Replacement on Muirfield Streets

Muirfield Association is pleased to pass on the following message from the MVCA:

Many Muirfield residents living on Whitecraigs, Springburn, Kilochan, Loch Leven, Aryshire Ct., and Carnoustie Ct. have received letters notifying them that they will see survey crews possibly walking on their property and hammering in stakes. This is occurring because they are preparing for work to replace the original, old, 2-3" copper pipes bringing in water. These pipes have a history of leaking and breaking and will be replaced with 6" pipes, giving improved pressure and durability.

There is no lead in Muirfield water precipitating this. It is simply a continuation of an ongoing project along only the short cul-de-sac streets of Muirfield that unfortunately have these pipes. A few streets are added each year.

If you live on one of the named streets, the City will notify you once the surveying has completed and you will be invited to a meeting to learn more about timelines and what digging will occur. The good news is that you will see fire hydrants installed, thus better safety for your homes.

Please remind family members and landscape crews not to remove these wood stakes.

No Easter Egg Hunt This Year

Muirfield Association is pleased to pass on the following message from the MVCA:

We regret to inform you there will be No MVCA Easter Egg Hunt this year.

The early date for Easter this year has increased the likelihood of wet conditions and very soft turf in our traditional "hunting field". In addition, the Dublin Schools spring break is March 21 through March 25th resulting in many families not being in the area to attend an Easter event. Due to these factors, the MVCA trustees reluctantly decided to forego this year’s event. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope to see you at an upcoming family event.

Please visit https://www.muirfieldvillage.org/ to see all the MVCA has to offer!
