Muirfield Photo ID Opportunity

The Muirfield Association office will be open special hours on Saturday, March 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to give those residents who have not obtained a Muirfield photo ID card a chance to have their photos taken and cards issued. The entire ID process takes just under 3 minutes and your card will be issued immediately!

Starting this season, a Muirfield photo ID is required to enter the pool facilities, whether swimming or not. Photos will not be taken at the pools this year, so please plan to visit the Association office before the pools open.

The Association has a large number of ID cards from last season. If you had a photo taken at the pool and did not pick up your finished card, it is at the Association office. An adult family member may pick up cards for their entire household on March 21 or from 8:00 to 4:30 on any business day at the Association office. Residents may only pick up cards for their own household; not for neighbors or friends. Children under 18 may not pick up cards.

If you miss the March 21 date, photos can be taken any business day at the Association office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If you have lost your ID card, there is a $10 replacement fee. The office is able to accept cash and checks.

Please note that the office will be open on March 21 for issuing photo ID cards only. We regret that we will not be able to assist with other requests at that time.

Sewer Renewal Work Starting in Muirfield Village

The following is a message from the City of Dublin that impacts Muirfield residents. Although only three streets have been listed in this initial announcement, other streets will likely follow.

The City of Dublin will begin the sewer lining project in Muirfield Village on Wednesday, March 4. The contractor, Layne Inliner, will begin cleaning and televising the sanitary sewers along Davington Drive, Deeside Drive and Tayport Drive.

During the cleaning process, it is recommended that all toilet lids be kept closed. You may also want to drape a heavy towel over your toilet bowls between the lid and the seat. On rare occasion, the cleaning process will send a column of air through the service line, causing the water in the toilet to splash out. City staff and Layne Inliner are working together to notify the impacted residents.

There may be some temporary lane closures, but traffic will be maintained throughout the improvement project. There may also be some moderate level of noise during the sewer lining phase.

Most of the sanitary sewer lines in Muirfield were installed in the 1970s and 1980s and constructed with small sections of clay tile. Over time, some of the tiles have shifted, causing leaks in the joints as well as cracking and deterioration. The sewer lining renewal improvements will increase the life of the sanitary sewer pipe by 30 to 50 years.

The project will continue through May 2015. The City will continue to keep you informed through the City's website page and various social media platforms. For questions or concerns, please contact Todd Garwick at 614.410.4665 or [email protected].

Daylight Savings Time Change

Please remember to "Spring Forward" this Sunday when Daylight Savings Time officially begins. Set your clocks forward one hour when you go to bed on Saturday night.

Although most of us are not looking forward to losing an hour of sleep, we are probably all looking forward to the longer days and warmer weather that this change reminds us is coming!
