Thank you, Residents! The Grounds & Facilities Committee
and the Board of Directors heard your voices and appreciate your
interest in continuing quality enhancements for our community.
Based on over 1,700 responses received from the survey, they have
developed the following initial priorities:
Perimeter Fence Design and Implementation
The perimeter fence will be replaced. This will be a multi-year project.
The Association is currently researching alternate
fence material/styles that continue to be complementary to the existing fence.
Mail Box Number Replacement
The Association has made arrangements for mass producing
metal numbers which are similar in size and style as the existing numbers.
These powder-coated numbers will drastically reduce fading and breaking issues.
Along with replacing numbers, Association staff will be repainting
mailboxes by neighborhood. This may be a multi-year replacement project.
Notices regarding appropriate hot tub use and guidelines will be
posted on the pool bulletin board. It is the responsibility of all
patrons to read and understand this information. This information
will also be posted online this spring on the
Swim lessons have been combined into one class time at 11 a.m.
The class sizes have been increased to accommodate more participants.
Residents will now be able to continue their visit without exiting the
pool facilities after swim lessons.
Due to numerous requests, music, suitable for all ages,
will be played at the pools. Noise levels will be monitored by pool manager.
Pool manager will closely monitor staff and their attention to
job duties. In-service training will be mandatory before pool opens.
Pool staff will not be permitted to use personal electronic devices except non-paid break times.
Pickleball courts and equipment will be available at the Glick Road tennis courts.
Games and instructions will be available through the tennis pro and online this spring on the
This spring, easy-to-find links to tennis and swimming will be added to the website
(green buttons will be located in the upper right hand corner of all pages
alongside the Facebook and Twitter buttons.)
Entrances – Flowers
The Association will be increasing the number, variety, and
color of annual flowers used for seasonal color at entrances.
Perennials and shrubs will be pruned and thinned to allow more room for annuals.
Plans are being made to reseal and resurface a large portion of the Association pathways.
The Association will continue to trim landscaping along paths as needed.
Notices will be sent to those residents where their landscaping encroaches onto the pathways.
You may access the survey results in the Members Area
of the website.
Log in and look on the left for “2014 Survey Results”.
The Grounds & Facilities Committee and the Board of Directors
are very appreciative of the number and quality of responses
that were received from the survey. These responses have identified
areas of importance that residents are interested in updating and/or preserving.
Understanding that all the ideas gathered from the
responses cannot be incorporated in the budget at one time,
the Board of Director and the Grounds & Facilities Committee
have generated a priority list that will guide their budget
directions in the coming years. Thanks again for your interest,
comments and suggestions!
