MUIRFIELD eNEWS: February 19, 2019

Good Neighbor Reminders:

  1. 2" to 4" of snow plus ice is forecast for tonight. It helps the City salt and plow streets if cars are off the street, in your drives.
  2. If wind is in the forecast, it helps to prevent your recycle papers blowing around Muirfield if you place your bin at the end of the drive [never in the street], with the hinge part toward the wind and/or some sort of weight on the lid to prevent it being blown open. And if your trash does blow, please be a good neighbor and follow its path, picking it up from streets and neighboring properties.

Muirfield related news:

  1. If you wondered why Memorial Drive was closed for a couple of hours a few weeks ago that was done to facilitate delivery of a pre-formed swimming pool to a home in that neighborhood. And btw, the repairs to the tunnel under Muirfield Drive near the Golf Club should complete by mid-May.
  2. But, in August the tunnel under Carnoustie, near Springburn, is scheduled for rehab work.Details closer to that time.
  3. In early May a court will hear the settlement case for the eminent domain value of property needed by the City on the south side of Glick to complete the bike path there. Let's hope there are no more delays allowed.
