Recent Resident Survey
The Board would like to send out a huge “thank you” to all residents who participated in the recent resident survey. Results, including over 150 pages of comments, have been distributed to all Board Members and Grounds and Facilities Committee members for study and review. The Board thanked the Grounds and Facilities Committee for the survey, and asked us to convey the Board’s sincere thanks to all of you. Your comments were insightful and helpful, and we look on it as a great planning document that will give the staff and Board guidance for the next few years. Our staff immediately began compiling a “to-do” list, and since last night was the annual budget meeting, many of your ideas were incorporated into our budget for this coming year. We will give you periodic updates on our implementation of your ideas. Below is a note from Grounds and Facilities Committee Chair, Pam Ellinger.

Dear Residents,
The Muirfield Grounds and Facilities Committee would like to extend sincere gratitude to all residents who replied to the recent survey.
A number of residents provided thoughtful and constructive comments on Muirfield amenities and operations. We are currently reviewing all of the comments and distributing them to different committees to review. These committees will be coming up with both short and long term recommendations in response.
As you may recall, a previous survey was conducted in the fall of 2014. Based on that survey’s responses, a number of changes were made:
- The aging fence surrounding Muirfield Village is being replaced with a new fence. The project is approximately 95% complete.
- Holbrook tennis courts were renovated and the perimeter fence replaced.
- Shade sails were installed at Glick Road and Holbrook swimming pools.
- Dog waste bag dispensers and disposal containers were installed.
- Grounds staff has performed continual repair of walking paths.
- Over 4,000 dead trees in common areas have been removed by association staff.
- Muirfield mailboxes have been repainted and the numbers have all been replaced with metal numbers.
- Pool security cameras have been installed at both pools.
- New basketball equipment has been installed and the courts resealed.
- Glick Road tennis pavilion was renovated.
Based on this fall’s survey, several plans for the coming year have already been decided on, including:
- Additional shade sails will be added at both pools.
- Shade sails will be installed at both playgrounds.
- Additional dog waste stations will be added.
- Street names on pathways will be repainted.
- Additional customer service training will be implemented for lifeguards and pool staff.
- Both pool facilities will have the bathrooms upgraded.
- Additional benches will be placed along the pathways.
- Additional trimming will be done along the pathways.
- The splash park will have several new features and a new safety surface installed.
This is just a small list of the projects that will be coming in 2018. In future years, many other capital expenditure projects will be completed based on residents’ comments.
